FYDP Lab

The final year design project lab is equipped with an extensive range of apparatus essential for conducting experiments and research in civil engineering and materials science. It includes instruments such as the Compacting Factor Apparatus, Aggregate Bulk Density Apparatus, and Cube Moulds of various sizes (6x6x6, 4x4x4, 100×100 mm, 150×150 mm) for testing concrete and aggregate properties.

Furthermore, the lab features equipment for water absorption testing, slump testing, and electromagnetic digital sieve shaking for particle size analysis. Vicat Needle Apparatus, Crushing Value apparatus, and Metal Impact Testing Machine are available for assessing material strength and properties.

Additional tools like concrete mixers, core cutting machines, hydraulic jacks, and furnaces enable comprehensive testing and analysis. The lab also houses accessories such as LVDTs (Linear Variable Differential Transformers), hydraulic actuators, and a 3D printer specialized for concrete.

Other utilities like vacuum pumps, stopwatches, beam moulds, brick making machines, wheelbarrows, steel racks, and a chain cupi with accessories enhance the lab’s functionality and versatility. Overall, this well-equipped lab provides students with the necessary resources to conduct advanced research and projects in the field of civil engineering and construction materials.
