AIM
To become a regional gateway for focused research in Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) and water conflict management and provision of training & education targeting national and regional needs.
OBJECTIVES
- Engage in goal oriented high level research and teaching in the areas of IWRM & Water Conflict Management
- Capacity building of engineers & scientists in IWRM and Water Conflict Management
- Act as Centre of Excellence for knowledge exchange
- Provide consultancy services in IWRM and water conflict management
- Act as advisory body for governmental agencies for policy making/regulation & their implementation

- Integrated Water Resources Planning & Management (WRM)
- Urban Water Pollution and Human Health (WRM)
- Sustainable GW Management (WRM)
- Agricultural Efficiency (WRM)
- Watershed Management (WRM)
- Water Quality Management (WRM)
- Modeling of Glacial Systems (Glaciology)
- Water Law & Policy (IWLCM)
- Water Conflict Management (IWLCM)
- Establish M.Sc/PhD and other programmes in the following disciplines :
- Water Resources Engineering & Management (WRE/ WRM)
- Integrated Water Resources Management (WRM)
- Water law and Policy (IWLCM)
- Water Governance & Conflict Management (IWLCM)
- Capacity building of engineers & scientists in IWRM and Water Conflict Management
- Promote cooperation in inter-disciplinary relationship with national and regional teaching & research institutions
- Provide consultancy services in IWRM and water conflict management at national level
- Act as advisory body for governmental agencies for policy making/regulation & their implementation
