Question: When does the admission process for Masters programs start?

Initial advertisement of Masters admission is published in national newspapers in the month of March / April every year. Admission process starts/ends in April/May every year. Exact dates can be checked from NUST website after mid of March every year.

Question: How can I apply for admission to NUST?

You can apply online for the admission to NUST Programs through NUST website ADMISSION ANNOUNCEMENT – NUST

Question: My current degree has not completed, then what should I attach with online application?

If your result is awaited, then you should attach the transcript of second last semester attended. You will have to submit your complete result before commencement of classes.

Question: Can I transfer my credits earned from other University / Institute?

Maximum of 09 CH for MS/MPhil and 12 CH for MBA, postgraduate credits may be considered for transfer from other approved accredited institutes or Foreign reputed Institute of similar quality if they are relevant and appropriate to a Master’s Program in a discipline approved by NUST. The transfer of credits will only be considered after confirmation of admission and recommendation of Institutions at NUST, where the student would have been admitted.

Lab Commercialization

Question: How can students of NICE use the lab equipment?

Students at NICE are required to submit a formal request for the utilization of laboratory equipment by registering their request 24 hours in advance of the intended equipment usage.

Question: How can students of other schools use the lab equipment?

Students from other schools must obtain permission to use lab equipment by completing a form available at the structures lab. The form requires signatures from the Structures Head of Department (HOD), the school’s Head of Department, and the designated supervisor.

Question: What are the normal and urgent commercial testing rates?

Question: What is the time frame for the delivery of the report?

The delivery timeline for standard testing rates is five working days, while urgent and witness testing requests are processed within a period of two days.

Lab Utilization guidelines

Question: What should be the size of steel specimen for tensile testing?

The size of steel specimen for tensile testing should be 440mm to 450mm.

Question: What should be size of steel specimen for bend test?

The size of steel specimen for bend test should be 300mm.

Question: What is the prescribed quantity for the physical testing of fine aggregates?

The recommended quantity for testing fine aggregates is between 10 kilograms and 15 kilograms.

Question: What is the prescribed quantity for the physical testing of coarse aggregates?

The recommended quantity for testing fine aggregates is between 20 kilograms and 25 kilograms.

Question: What quantity of materials is necessary for concrete mix design?

The recommended amounts include 5 to 10 bags of cement, 15 to 20 cubic feet of sand, and 13 to 14 cubic feet of aggregates.
