Summary

A committed and experienced civil engineer, equipped with research and industry experience aiming to learn, grow, improve and impart his experience and skills to the next generation of civil engineers. Engr. Saad Ahmed is a Lab Engineer at the NUST Institute of Civil Engineering (NICE-SCEE), posted currently in Geo-technical Laboratory at NICE. He completed his B.E. in Civil Engineering from the NUST Institute of Civil Engineering (NICE-SCEE). His research interests include Sustainable Construction Materials, Green Concrete, Self Sensing Materials, Carbon Sequestration, Structural Health Monitoring and Climate Resilience. He is a recipient of High Achievers Award 2023 for securing a fully funded research internship at University of Manitoba, Canada, during his undergraduate studies. His research background includes extensive research on development of self sensing cementitious composite using rice-husk bio-char.
