Summary

Dr. Arsalan is currently working as the Head of Department in Research at SCEE, NUST. He is the alumni of NUST in undergraduate degree while he secured his doctorate from Polytechnic University of Turin, Italy. He owes an excellent research profile with 100+ high impact journal publications. His papers have been globally cited by more than 1900 researchers counting to his cumulative impact of over 400+ and an h-index valued to 26. He is in the editorial role of several reputed international journals published by MDPI, Frontiers and Springer Nature. He is the principal investigator of multiple research and industry projects worth over 60 M PKR funded by reputed national and international firms. Dr Arsalan has been awarded as ‘Best Teacher’ in 2017, ‘Best Researcher’ in 2018, and ‘Best Innovator’ in 2021 by the University due to his exceptional contribution in teaching, research, and commercialization pursuits. Moreover, his name appeared in “Marquis Who’s Who in the World for Science & Engineering 2020” as the potential young researcher and was awarded ‘Belt and Road Young Scientist Award 2020’ by the science and technology commission of Shanghai, China. He is also the lead resource person of Pakistan Engineering Council for implementing outcome based education and recognizing the country as the Full Signatory to Washington Accord.
