Dr. Muhammad Usman Hassan has 18 years of experience in construction planning, bid management, OHS, and project management in Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey. He is ISO14001 lead auditor and has a number of certification in Quality, Occupational health safety, social accountability and environment. He was the team lead for OHS at Telenor Pakistan before becoming the OHS manager for occupational health and safety at Ericsson Saudia Arabia and Pakistan. He is currently serving as Assistant Professor and Director of Construction Management and Safety Research center at the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) in Islamabad, Pakistan. He has a PhD in Construction Engineering and Management (CE&M) and MS in Construction Engineering and Management (CE&M), and BE in Civil engineering from NUST, Islamabad. He co-created a technology startup in Turkey that focused on using AI and sensor networks for construction and building information acquisition. He teaches construction planning, estimation economics, and computing-related courses to Undergraduate and graduate programs in civil engineering and architecture. His current area of research currently encompasses construction automation, machine learning, and robotics.
