Summary
I have been working in the field of geotechnical engineering for over 6 years, and I have a strong academic and employment background that would make me a valuable asset to your team. I have a PhD in civil engineering (geotechnical engineering) from Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) and a master's degree in geotechnical engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). In my current/ previous roles, I have gained a wealth of experience in teaching, research, and industry. I have taught a wide range of geotechnical engineering courses at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels (geotechnical engineering, foundation engineering, engineering geology, soil mechanics, rock mechanics, advance geotechnical design, advance soil mechanics, etc.). I have also supervised several PhD, master, and undergraduate students. My research interests include geotechnical engineering, soil improvement, bender element applications, soil and rock investigation, soil and rock slope stability, geophysical applications in geotechnics, near surface seismic methods, and engineering geology. I have published 38 papers in Web of Science, Scopus, international journals and international conferences with h-index of 8 in Google Scholar and h-index of 7 in Scopus. I have also been assigned as a reviewer in many respectful Web of Science and Scopus journals. In addition to my academic experience, I have also worked as a geotechnical engineer, consultant, trainer, and engineering geologist in both public and private sectors in Pakistan, Malaysia, and Yemen. I have successfully secured two external funds for two research projects (in Geotechnical Engineering area) as PI and Co-PI with cost up to 21 million PKR as well as execution more than 29 industrial projects during the last 4 years. I am a strong believer in the importance of teaching and research. I am committed to providing students with a high-quality education that will prepare them for successful careers in geotechnical engineering. I am also committed to conducting cutting-edge research that will advance the field of geotechnical engineering. I believe in the importance of leadership, teamwork, creativity, independence and continuous improvement.
