Summary

Dr. Abbas Haider is a tenured Assistant Professor at the NUST Institute of Civil Engineering (NICE-SCEE), where he also acts as the Institute Liaison Officer at School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (SCEE). He completed his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the Tsinghua University, Beijing, China. His research interests include Constitutive modelling of geotechnical materials, Machine Learning based Geotechnics, Soil-Structure Interaction, Seismic Analysis of Underground Structures, Seismic Hazard Analysis and Soil Liquefaction. Dr. Abbas has a teaching and research experience spanning over more than 10 years with emphasis on courses such as Soil Dynamics and Earthquake Engineering. He has presented his research work at couple of international conferences and authored/ co-authored number of peer-reviewed archival journal publications.
