Structure lab is one of the most well equipped labs of NUST Institute of Civil Engineering (NICE). The lab helps to familiarize the students about construction materials their physical and mechanical properties, testing of materials for quality control and quality assurance etc. The lab is well equipped to fulfill the teaching and research needs of the UG as well as PG students. Lab also provides testing and consultancy services in the field of Structural Engineering.
The lab is fully capable of conducting the experiments required as per curriculum of Undergraduate courses offered in the institute. In addition, the lab is providing all state-of-the-art facilities to the Postgraduate students in their research work as per International standards.
Following are some major equipment available in the lab:

• 200 Ton Universal Testing Machine for compression, bend and tensile testing of Construction materials
• 5000KN Servo Hydraulic Compression Testing Machine
• A versatile range of Sensitive equipments and devices for performing Non Destructive Testing (NDT) i.e. evaluating the Quality of Construction, Corrosion in various materials and Strength characteristics of existing structures.
• State-of-the-art equipment satisfying the teaching requirements in the field of Structural Mechanics
