Research project completed undergraduate

  1. River Flow Modeling of Indus River at low flow. We used HEC-RAS and  Rubar20 for the simulation. The latter code solves the 2D Shallow water equations with a Goudonov type shock capturing scheme.
  2. 3D Numerical simulation of a 90° open channel junction using freeware SSIIM. This code solves Navier-Stokes equation with a k-epsilon turbulence model.
  3. Simulation of 2D shallow water equations using freeware MOD_FreeSurf2d. The latter software consists of Matlab scripts. The numerical schema is of semi-implicit Langrangian type which ensure relatively large time steps and stability.
  4. Simulation of flow Transients in a prismatic channel using 1D Saint Venant equation. We used code given in textbook to solve for the surges developed by McCormack scheme.
